Come and visit me and let’s walk down my garden path. Jan Lance

A native of West Virginia, Jan came to Michigan in 1970. She settled in the suburbs of Kalamazoo. She was a homemaker for many years during the years her children were young. She has 6 children and now has 9 grandchildren. This part of her life was special pleasure to her. It had many challenges but she always tried to face things head on. She developed many skills during this time. After that she worked on a dairy farm caring for baby calves in the Vicksburg area. She added caring for baby calves to caring for children. This was a great joy for her. and very comforting and nurturing to her. ( they didn’t talk back! ) At this point she went into Clerical Work. She worked at Bronson Methodist Hospital in Kalamazoo, Michigan as a registration specialist.

All through the years, she has enjoyed reading good books, writing both creative work and in a journal. She never shared what she wrote with the public but it was a treasure for herself. She has had a bountiful life because of her family and her faith in God.

She is looking forward to writing and sharing herself with all of you.
